Title: THE BIG SHIFT
Post by: Maxed Out on March 20, 2017, 08:27:49 PM
First off I'd like to thank everyone for all the support and feedback, good or bad.

I was recently offered a job I couldn't turn down. Hope to go a couple years at it before I retire once again. I will no longer have time to sell and ship the custom levers. The good news is Scott's Bait & Tackle, AKA mysticparts.com  will be stocking all colors of the levers. Scott's also designated a part # to the new lever 21-66A.

....and for you islanders, Brian's Fishing Supply in Honolulu will also be stocking the new levers !!

Please note that I've been selling these levers to the Ohana for basically my cost. In order for the levers to remain a viable product, the retail price will be a couple bucks higher cause Scott's and Brian's aren't in business to sell at cost.

Thanks again for all your support, and anyone that already had an order in with me will get shipped this week.

 Tight Lines -Ted

Ted, I wish you well on your new endeavor. Hopefully you'll still have time to visit and show some of your great stuff every once in a while, if not it wouldn't be the same here without you.  ;)

All the best,  ..  Lou

Best of luck Ted on the new position.  I am sure 2 years will come-and-go before you realize it.

Great news that the product will continue to be available, and likely to a larger market.

All the Best in your new endeavor, Ted --

If appropriate, what is your new vocation?

If personal, we respect that.

Maybe Chief R&D Engineer for Penn?

Best,

Fred

See what happens when I don't check in for a few days!
I hope your move doesn't prevent your lively spirit from logging in.
You still have a computer right?
I for one feel some sadness I am not afraid to admit.  I don't like when things change, it upsets my equilibrarian.
Truly though I wish nothing but the best for you Ted in all your endeavors.
So where you going and what are you doing?
Unless it's classified.

Thanks everyone for the kind words..... Wish the rest of the world would take notice and follow suit.  :D :D

I will still be offering my custom parts here, just not the shift levers. There is just no way I could work full time and keep up with the lever orders.

I do have Chris working on a couple secret projects at the moment....and more after that.

Mike, my red light specials will continue....and blue light, green light, orange light, etc. The fun is just beginning  ;D ;D

 -Ted

P.S. I apologize, but I cannot divulge my new job.....and no it isn't a gov. job, but along those lines, it will be gravy train  ;D ;D.... I can assure everyone that the custom parts from Chris will continue to flow. You never know what's next !!

Wow, very cool Mo. Once the word gets out they'll be flying off the shelves.

I'm going to try and compile a list of reels that the lever fits. Besides many Penn's, they also fit several Pro Gear reels, Lee Pro, and a few others.

Picture drove me nuts..I need to learn how to use the white background setup that we have at the annex somewhere.
Had so much trouble with shadows! I had a 250 lumens pocket light in my coat..I finally used that and got a better shot.
Ruler being crooked is annoying...but I'm not going to try and reshoot it again, lol

It's official..... Brian's fishing Supply in Honolulu is selling the custom shift levers and has all colors in stock. Make sure to mention Ohana and he may charge you double  ;D ;D....just kidding. Hopefully the word will get out and Brian will have lots of walk in's looking for the levers.

If you aren't in the Honolulu hemisphere ;) ;),  then Maureen at MysticParts.com also has all colors of the new levers in stock.

These are the only 2 outlets for the levers and have no plans to add any more retailers for now.
