Title: Carbontex question
Post by: jcarlson on October 05, 2017, 01:00:58 AM
I have recently purchased a Millionaire cv-z 253, US, plus I have also purchased a Millionaire SW 203, Japanese model. I ordered new bearings and drag washers for both. The question is do I need to grease the drag washers or let them run dry? Planning on a complete teardown of both when received.

I am an Alan Tani disciple, and therefore the mantra is "Cal's grease on CF drag washers." It is the #1 upgrade you can do to just about any reel unless it comes with greased CF washers.

x3 particularly in the salt - you'll get a much smoother drag and salt water can't get in :)
