Some time ago in history the halibut was called the holy fish.  Maybe for ceremony?
The meat is white and pure fine eating.    It's more of a northern latitudes fish,   Butt it's my life.🤷‍♂️

That's because back in the day (hundreds of years ago), all flatfish were called "butts". The biggest and the best were saved for the priests or holy men. They became known as "holy butts", which evolved to halibut.

Nice one by the way!!

It seems likke all the fishing folks in ore, wash, bc,, and ak,  are out hunting about this time of year as there have been no recent posts.
So heres a fun little clip of some halibut fishing recently to keep y
you entertained.    Thanks ;)

hey i,m only trying to keep this section alive.   ;)   As an avid halibut fisherman it not too hard to find a new picture for showing why I love fishing.   Fun with friends and playing with some new hooks and baits is my life.   The fish provide some very good food as well.
