Title: Tiburon reels
Post by: Jaime on March 30, 2010, 04:07:39 PM
Hi Alan..I live in the East Cape of BCS, Mexico and fish year round.

I have worked my through Diawa Sea Line's,  Penn International's & Senator's.
I usually fish alone and there fore only use 4 rod's at a time.  The 4 reel's I am currently using are 2 - Tiburon 6's for 40# and 2 - SST 16's for 60#.  I could not be happier with the performance.

Question..There does not seem to be much info on line that I can find for these reels.  Is there any thing that I should know about them?  Things to look out for or special need's?

Thank you
Jaime

jaime, it has been a VERY long time since i've opened up an tiburon.  the last one was filled with corrosion.  very disappointing, because it would be a great reel if properly service and maintained.  this reel is a very innovative combination of a star drag reel and a lever drag.  with the schematic, i am certain that you can feel your way through.  alan

Tiburon has what you need, not your typical user manual, they saved Alan about 8 hours of work
