What do you have in 235s and 546s any series

Thanks for giving me a shot at it, but I'm sorry to say that I do not have any 546 or 235 size Newells at the moment.  I have 220, 229, 322, 332, 338, 344, 440, 447 and 641 sizes in stock right now.  You might want to check back in a few weeks as I am always buying.

Thanks again,

Randy

I don't know Newells, is a 220 a narrow reel? A 229?
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

Vintage Offshore Tackle

Randy, the 220 frame is 1 5/8" wide (the same as a Penn 146), and the 229 frame is 2 1/8" wide (the same as a Penn 145).  The diameter is also very close to the same as the Squidder series.

I too am interested in finding a 546. If you do get a hold of any please let us know.

Dear Chris,

I have a nice "no letter 641-3, which has approximately the same line capacity as the 546, and I also have a Tiburon frame/Newell spool kit for the 646.  Would either of those possibly work for you?

Thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy,

I'm interested in a 454-5 or 533-5.5 if you have any in stock.

Thanks, Dion

Thanks for giving me a shot at it Dion, but the only big Newells that I have right now are a 641 and some 447s.  Good luck with your hunt.

Thanks again,

Randy

Thanks Randy! I'll keep an eye out, if you come across one.

Hi Randy,
By any chance do you have any 322's?

Jim, I have a couple of nice 300C-322s, one with Newell 5:1 gears, and a few all-aluminum kits to convert any 300 size Newell to the 322 width, but that's about it at the moment.   Thanks for giving me a shot at it.  I am going to be offline for the next week, but if any of the above is of interest, let me know and I will get back with you on February 1.

Thanks,

Randy

Got any reels 454 or larger in 4.2 ratio  or faster?

Vintage Offshore Tackle

I have four Newell 454 reels, all with 5:1 gears (a cobalt blue Tiburon P, and a G, C and one with the badge missing that looks like another G).  I also have a kit consisting of a silver Tiburon 550 spool with Newell bars, base and rod clamp, and a half-dozen 600 series Newells, a few of which are 3:1 and a few of which are 4.2:1 and 4.6:1.  Below is a photo of the 454 reels.

Can you describe the Newell / Tiburon unit in the lower left of your last photo? I am interested but you need to tell me about it....
