Doesn't it already have a centrifugal break system?

It does have centrifugal brakes, and doubt it can be magged.
Never was so much owed by so many to so few.

Anybody know of an similar size reel with magnetic cast control levelwind

Bryan Young

the 400 is about the same size as and Abu 6500 and they have a magnetic cast control reel.  Also people have installed aftermarket magnetic cast control on Abus used in tournament distant casting sessions.

You may need to revise the spool a bit because of the braking system employed in the reel.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

If it comes with the centrifugal why do you want to mag it? You can ideally mag any reel. Just have to figure placement out. As Bryan said the abus are a great idea for a feel that is already magged

I have the calcutta 400TE  version and with the centrifugal control you dont really need anything else.

My advice, which is for the most part useless, I would get the calcutta and see if the braking system works well for her. I imagine it will be enough esp for the 400 as it has a non disengaging levelwind, if I remember correctly, which adds in some control as it provided a little resistance to the cast. If you need more stopping power then post some pics of the reel and we can help from there.
