So, I was finally brave enough to open up my first reel. I followed the JM PE5N reel tutorial and the JM PE4 tutorial; they were exactly the same and I really owe a lot to those members that took the time to make a tutorial. Thank you!

Disclaimer: I have never serviced any reel before so I now I have a couple of questions...hopefully they aren't too stupid.

When I unscrewed the four side plate screws I noticed one of the side plate screws was shorter.

Is this a defect? If not which hole do I place the screw back in? I took a picture of the reel sideplate with the screws removed. Not sure which one the short screw belongs in. Perhaps a user eiwht experience with Maxel Sealion reels could help please :) (second picture) https://www.dropbox.com/sc/5c1epklhtbvshas/AABFZcU3UolnZGTeQT5G8Cc2a

Ok I further opened up the reel. When I took of drag cam cover I noticed it was kind of dry (no grease)underneath it.   Do I need to add grease to it. What type of grease or substance? (third pic)https://www.dropbox.com/sc/9oo9y3f8q4h3mao/AADRZhvtnnc_bJFblHQDkj12a

Next, took apart spool from handle portion. Do the gears  and everything look well greased enough? If not what substance should I add to it?  Fourth pic. and Fifth Pic https://www.dropbox.com/sc/ddrnf2uv4nwz810/AAD3gBnGKONLlu1bmi_sSUrja

Last I looked at the drag.  The drag seemed pretty dry. Should I add grease to it? If so what type? Sixth Picture https://www.dropbox.com/sc/laebtyxfk1bsngl/AADbvMwxewWXx4RovaF5FLo7a

Is there anything else I should check or add grease too?

Also, I have some CorrisonX and Penn Rod and Reel cleaner. Where do I spray this stuff?

Also if I want to add grease. I've heard you want to remove the old stuff, first. Is this right??
