Here's a few pics of a custom set I had made up for catfishing. They were done by Joe Onorato at J+J sports out of Maryland. The 12'er is a lamiglass surf and bar rod rated to cast 6-16,The 10'er is a MHX euro cat rod rated at #30-#80,and the 8'er is a Seeker Jig and Heavy live bait in XXH rated for #40-#100 line. All the reels are Avet JX's.All the handles I had cord wrapped in matching colors. They've held up well for me.

Don't know that I've ever seen catfish rigs that nice. Good job!

Pat those are some nice rigs!  I have a couple Avets for boat but haven't cast them for distance; I hear they do well.

I know that Lami blank; it's a beast.

Yes those are some very nice cat rigs. The Avet Jx should be a a really good reel for this. We are allowed to fish 3 reels here in Kansas I came real close to buying 3 Avet JX's.  In the end I decided to go a different route. Knowing what I know now I'd been just as happy with Avets... Jeff
