here's a used penn 209 with a few upgrades.
i tore it down to replace the worm and pawl. funny thing. this reel actually has a stainless steel reel seat! yeah, the base where it clamps onto the rod. it's stainless steel!
installed a stainless steel gear sleeve.
greased the drag washers.
i installed a 1/0 sized kolekar handle grip and had the reel spooled with 250 yards of 25# big game clear.
my asking price is $60. this is what it would cost if you already owned this reel and shipped to me to have this work done.
