How's this different from this section ???

This whole folder is for posting pictures and questions about reels that you wish to determine year of manufacture. It's not about anything else here, unless it relates to that. We don't have any place to store this information together until now. It's not so much about fishing or mechanics as it is about collecting.

I'm hoping our experts will share their knowledge of Penn history here and help us less-knowledgeable learn the changes in each model through the years.

I don't see why it can't be moved to a more appropriate spot after it's all set up. That other section is a mix of different reels.

And note that it does not say "Jigmaster" but rather "Jig-master". Interesting....

Good question, was wondering about that myself.

They don't seem to be as plentiful as the standard models, but as I recall the parts looked identical.

I recognize this EBay seller. I had a negative experience with him. Check out his feedback rating. Beware....

Thanks for the warning Sid.

Yes, the photo is from eBay though I haven't dealt with that particular seller.

I thought it was a good example of the reels in question seen side-by-side.

Some of the older ones have stickers.I saw one for sale on line a few months ago with the sticker picked off, the seller claimed it was a super rare "trade jig-master".  Tight Lines, Richie
