Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to Wes @ Ken's Custom reels.

I was looking for drags for a 540 Alby Special,  he couldn't help me with that, but was just incredibly upbeat and knowledgeable.  He did have some other parts for me though to save the day!

Thanks Wes!  I told you I would mention you here.   ;D

8/17/16 EDIT:  Wes apparently forgot me....no package arrived.  :(

Thanks Alan,  I didn't want the young man to think we didn't care here!

I'm sure he's a star over on BDoutdoors.

Randy, what are the size of the drag washers?  ID x OD  I have a few loose washers and am not sure which PG reel they fit.  I think they are for the 280 but am not sure.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Rancanfish

10.1mm ID x 31.65mm OD  1.61mm thick

.39in  X 12.52 OD x .062in thick.

Both ways listed.

It had good drags appearance wise,  but are herky jerky for sure.

I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

Bryan,  I made up the drags using 1.20mm thick sheet from Ebay.  Doubled the bottom two. Worked great after I found a method that would cut the material accurately enough.

I made 9 drag washers that didn't cut it,  then discovered if I put an original and my drag material together, with a large bolt thru the center,  I could cut out a perfect circle.  I used up 2/3rds of a sheet getting them right but now I'm set.  Look Ma, no tools!

The drags for the 540 Alby's are identical to the CS 625. I know for a fact, because I just tore down the 625 too.
