Shark Hunter

Benni and Marlo know how to catch fish.
You guys keep on that River and keep the pics coming.
Please give John any trade secrets you have.
If I'm on the Beach, Looking to catch Sharks. This guy is in his element.
Stream fishing is tough.
The Stream I fished when I was a kid was loaded with fish.
You had to watch for snakes, but we always caught fish.
Mid Summer would lock the fish into pools.
It was great fishing and they weren't going anywhere.
That Stream has long silted out.
It was called Arnold's Creek. Good Times back then.
It dumped into the Ohio River 50 miles or so downstream.
I always tried to choose topwater lures.
When the creek was raging, I would drop a small rapala and let if float down a long ways before reeling it in.
There were also Gar there. I never hooked one. They would try to eat the lure, but the hook couldn't be set in their small toothy jaws.

Benni,
I don't doubt your expertise for one minute, but John is fishing a shallow stream.
Nothing that dives is going to work in this application.
Personally, I would use shallow rapala's and some rubber worms or grubs.
Some live bait under a clear bobber would be my last resort.
I would just try to keep it on top if possible.
Maybe some small hula poppers.

Very small flys on a small bobber black or tan works

Thanks Benni,
I'll try the corn, maybe the bobber-n-fly.

Been having luck with Joe's Flies and Rooster Tails, both tipped with red wriggler worms.
I think they strike and hold on longer with the worm tippet.
Hard to tell a strike from a rock sometimes...  LOL!
Challenging fishing for'shur.

Hey Benni, is that catch and release or you're eating them all?..good job!
Try some Velveeta cheese with that corn for some big ones :).
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

I'm taking my next vacation with Benni as my guide.  ;)
