Hi ,

Owners , fans and friends of Okuma pls
Let me know your info or experience with this reel

I am still looking for a great spinning reel over 5:1
Gear ratio

Help me understand the ups and downs of this reel.

Thank you in advance

I love my Maxel Reels and Rods👌👌👌

Three se7ens

No personal experience, but reviews put it as a fair quality low to mid level reel.  Nothing special, dont expect to take tuna with it, or anything else very taxing on the reel.  Otherwise, its a fair performer, but not so good you shouldnt consider others as well.  My first thought would be to look at a similarly sized Daiwa BG (the new ones), maybe 6000-8000 size.  My personal experience is Okumas are great reels, but are not service friendly.  Few spinners have had me cussing like the a/r arrangement okuma uses on their reels.  That being said, Okumas are usually pretty high on the bang for buck chart.

As above, the new Daiwa BG is ludicrous value for money.

The Azores is solid, good bang for buck. I've never serviced one personally but I know my local fishing store sells quite a lot of them and haven't had any come back with issues.
