I took my fathom apart and did not see where a washer/spacer came from don't even see it on the schematics I suspect it goes between the bearing and spring ?

Sluggo

Does Anybody know where it goes ?

alantani

I suspect your guess that it goes between the bearing and spring is correct. There is usually a washer between the inner race of a bearing and another part.
Just my guess.

Possibly between the spool and the bearing.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

It goes under the ball bearing inside the spool.  It's one of those "use as needed" shims.  It made it to the Torque LD schematic not sure why it didn't on the Fathom.  For reference part # 8A
