Hit the lake to run a friends boat for the first time this year and drag lures for redband tout.  I had a hit early on and it did not stick, a few seconds later Bill had a smallish fish, 4-6 pounds, hook up and jump twice before throwing the hook.  Went a few miles to another but smaller and shalower deep slot and I managed to land a small 3 pounder before heading back to the boat launch.

A 3 pound trout out of Klamath Lake is not worth photographing, they average closer to 6 pounds, 10 pounders get caught and I have seen a few close to 15 pounds.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

3 pounds or not...that's still beating the skunk! Making for a successful first trip of the season. 8)
