STRIPER LOU

Agreed, 545. You may find some parts here and I think the other place is Ken's in Oceanside?

I bought another CS 501. For use then, if necessary, for parts. I have a narrow and a wide. My worry (hope) is stripping the main gear on a tuna.

Alan, I've always wanted one of these reels. Just trying to figure which one best fills a hole in my gear range.

Also what is the fishable drag on the CS 500 & 545 ?

Does the bearing set up on the 545 give good spool support when used at higher drag ? ...Jeff

Three se7ens

My 545 is a tank.  I havent had a chance to put any fish in it yet, but will pull over 50 lbs of drag with my insert kit, and a Black Pearl gear set.
