Can someone give me a heads up on lube supplies in the UK, one can usually track down most of the items regarded and recommended on here, but it is time-consuming, and often very expensive, partly because of the small amount of product offered for sale by UK companies.

I know what you mean - sourcing some of the stuff used by forum members can be difficult.

For oil I would go with TSI321 - diluted with solvent, one drop on spool bearings (for amazing freespool that lasts ;)) CorrosionX/ReelX is also very good.

For grease I've been using Mercury Quicksilver 2-4-C for sometime (purchased from fleabay). It's a marine grease with Teflon - which means it will work for drags as well. I used to use Cal's drag grease but it's too expensive in the UK.

Cheers, yes I have ordered some lube from them, and I checked out Jim's too, both very expensive I thought, yes have ordered TSI 1321, and corrosion x, have got some of the Yam blue marine grease, was going to order some Cals for the drags, but you think any of the marine grease with teflon(seems most have it these days) will be fine?

Quicksilver with teflon has been working for me for a couple of years - in fact it's become my go to grease for most things. I would love to try CorrosionX grease but the UK branch doesn't seem to stock it :-\ I would love to find a fully synthetic grease with Teflon.

I'll probably stick with Quicksilver because it saves having to source multiple greases.

Yep, thanks for that...................I already use the Yam blue grease for my boat, so all good.
