TLD 10 Line Wear plate.

I have a number of TLD10's which I have been buying in. The last one that came in from the US did not have the line wear plate fitted to the frame, nor was the frame drilled to accept one, does this denote an early or late reel, or indeed any other explanation?

Ok, it seems that on some of the later 10's, and 15's the plate was omitted and the frame was not even drilled?

Look at the foot on the bottom of the reel. Earlier ones were made in Japan & the later ones are made in Malasia.

Didn't know they made 10's in Malaysia? anyway this is a Japanese reel.
