Hi,

Everyone who used Photobucket is having to rebuild their posts (if they are still around and active) since Photobucket decided to start charging heavily for using their site to host pics in other sites.

It's slow going as everyone has different amounts of free time.

Multiple threads about the topic:

Thanks, Mo.

Ken, this has been a major pain for AT members.   We made a decision to enable Gallery access for all members, so that you have the option of uploading your photos to this site, to include in postings.  You also have the option of using another photo hosting site.  On the other threads you will find info about how others have downloaded their PB photos to upload them to another host, and then change the photo links accordingly, in the postings.  /Joe

I would urge all members to host photos here. Hosting on other sites is asking for the Photobucket problem to recur down the road.

Easy Photobucket Fix

In the cases where former/current PhotoBucket users haven't deleted all their albums.
Chrome and Firefox now have an extension, Photobucket Embed Fix,  that will display 3rd party hosted images.
It will fix all your broken pics, no need for you to do anything, it runs entirely in the background.

Click Tools>Add-Ons (Or press CTL+Shift+A) >select Extensions > enter "photobucket embed" in the Search box (upper right corner) > then click the install button.

Done! All your old pics should now be displaying again.

John, thank you.  It works really well, at least I can see my photos.  I downloaded an extension to Google Chrome and was able to see my own photos.  As a test would you go to http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=15832.0 and see if you can see the photos there.  Thanks. Dominick

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

It works!

I just googled photobucket embed... it popped up and I installed it. Saw Dominick's pics.

Tried to look at the pics with another browser it was a no go.

Thanks!

I have to admit that I read about this fix and thought there must be more to it than that. There wasn't. It works fine. I'm glad I didn't spend hours and hours rebuilding links to photos... Smiley

Please note.

This will only enable Chrome and/or Firefox users who install the add-on/extension to see the pics.

Other browser users and those who haven't installed the add-n will continue to see broken links.

ChileRelleno,

Great solution!   We owe a debt of gratitude to the programmer that made that extension.

How did you come across this?

Cruising another of my online haunts, there it was.
I like it, it's a way for Chrome/Firefox users to give PB the finger.

Yeah, it's a cat and mouse game...  I doubt if PB will counteract, but it is possible.
