Heading to FL for mom's surgery.

Will have my laptop with me so if I have a wifi, I can still check in here in the forums and the support system/emails at work!

****** EDIT ********

Finally got home 2/13/18 with Mom and moved her in with us!
Working part time from home as I am now full time caregiver.

I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Mom is doing okay. Throat is healing, speech therapy is helping. Just very very slow.

Good to hear Mom is doing better.  You need a break though.  Its been a long time tending to her.  See if you can get a day of fishing in.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I've thought about it. I get a couple hours in between water/food so could do it.
Did have a lovely visit from Scotty a few weeks ago. We cried quite a bit. He stayed for a long weekend, it was great!

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Look at the bright side, Mo.... this is the absolute BEST time to be in S Florida. The weather is gorgeous and the snowbirds are just trickling in. Another month and season will be in full swing and it'll be crowded as hell again until March or April.

I know it is a lot of strain, Mo --

However, as the days and weeks pass -- you will have the good experience in knowing that you were in the right place, doing your best to help and comfort Mom...as only a daughter can.
