Recently found this Penn Bay side reel and have done some research and beleve this is a early 1933 Penn bayside !  but this is not my area of expertise so looking for any help identifying this penn Bay side

Superhook

It is an early 1938 model .

33- Maroon plates and 3 pillars , waffle clicker , hex handle nut & no yardage stamp on foot .
34 - same but 4 pillars.
35 - as 34 but black plates
36 - as 35 but yardage stamped on foot.
37 - same as 36 .
38 - as your early example . Later has graphic tail plate .
39 - as 38 except torpedo knob and graphic tail plate .

According to Penn production records it says the 1933 Bay side has a line capacity of 250 yds which is stamped on the foot and according to production records 1933 penn Bay side was the only year that has a line capacity of 250 yds from 1934 to 1941 which is when they say the bay side was discontinued the line capacity for those years were 100 , 150 yds and 200 yds !  I guess that's why I assumed it was a 33 ! And thank u very much for the help in identifying the year of this reel ! If I decide to sell it I'd like to have as much info as possible on it !

Superhook

I only referred to the 250 yds model , like yours.
In 1933 all reels were 250yds
34 - all reels were 250 and 300 yds only .

I'm going on memory and all the other sizes and years are covered in Mike's books on Penn reels.
