International 16VISX

  I am  debating either buying the 16VISX or the Makaira 16 and the only thing that is holding me back from the VISX is the silent anti-reverse dogs. I didn't see and schematics available online and I am guessing the anti-reverse is a Pawl type verses spring loaded? Can anyone chime in that has one? Thank you.

The Mak has silent dogs too.

Thanks for the reply Mark. When  I saw the schematics for the MAK it has 2 anti reverse paw springs for the 2 dogs Key#217 . I didn't know if the VISX was a similar setup or was it like the Abu Garcia type with the fins engaging the dogs.

My 20VISX has two anti-reverse dogs. They seem quite strong.
