Which spinner for me

I just started surf fishing last summer. I had a Shimano Sahara 2500 with 8lb mono, but after a couple of break-offs I switched to 20lb braid with a 12lb mono leader. I mostly caught corbina, croaker, sargo, perch, and the ocasional dink halibut. I even managed to land a couple California Sheepheads from the surf. Unfortunately My Sahara didn't even last the season. The handle started to get stiff when turning, and when I took it off to clean it a bunch of plastic pieces fell out. After that the handle would no longer attach.

I have since bought a Penn Battle II in the 2500 size. So far I love the reel, but I need to give it a full summer of use before I can tell if it holds up better than the Sahara.
