Those graphics turned out Great!  That is a one-of-a-kind beast.  I bet you can't wait to get your hands on it.  That would look great on a custom Iron Man Rod.  Just a thought.
Hope springs eternal

Daron,
Wow! Now that's impressive. I don't have a clue about laser etching, but that was fun to watch. Can't wait to see a pic of you holding the "IRONMAN"....a new avatar may be in order?? Congratulations!

How are you going to rod that beast?
Stuart Short #4 Butt.
Calstar RT80 IGFA or The RT E-Glass 130.
Those pictures are from the Factory.
Awaiting the Gold Ergo Grip to make it complete before it begins the 5000 mile Journey from Italy to Kentucky.
The wait will be in New York Customs as Usual. ::)
I figure a month if I'm Lucky.

Nice work there.

This has been in the planning for 4 months or so.
Paid and Made.
Just waiting for the Gold Ergo Grip Handle before shipping.
I also hooked up my buddy and fellow member cwillis85 on some parts for his Vintage 6/0 to tag along on The Iron Man's Journey.
Pay it forward my friends. ;)

After dragging them all out, I think it more like 150lbs. ::)
I have an Iron Man Special 20/0 in the works.
That 4/0 is no secret.
I know exactly where it it is.

Daron can you measure the side plates on your 4/0 and width between side plate. I am trying figure out if my little Everol cradle is a 2.5 size or a 4/0. My cradle is 4" across plates and about 1 7/8" width between plates.  Thanks

John,
That 4/0 is on the bottom in the back.
I spent an hour today digging towards it looking for other reels.
No guarantee, but I'll keep digging tomorrow.

Sorry John,
Maybe this weekend. I stripped off the old line on a 12 and 14/0 and applied new while watching the Olympics.
A few beers got in the way and I didn't get to it. ::)
I literally have a whole room full of reels. Top to Bottom.
It takes some time to see them all. ;)

OK John.
I think these are the measurements you need.

Thanks Daron !! I guess that makes this cradle a 2 1/2 0 size.   John Taylor   PS if you ever decide to sell that 4/0 with the box let me know !!!

Here is the handle I have been slowly working on for a while. With Darons help I have a new factory handle on the way but I wanted something stronger and a little more fine finished than what came stock. This was all done with a piece of .25" stainless stock, a chunk of the large oak that was removed from my front yard, a dremel, cordless drill, and elbow grease. I am happy with the results but I do wish I had a better hand for the finish work, just a tad rough around the edges, but I think it compliments the reel well and the flaws are hard to pick out a 10' so I am calling it a win. Should be a great trolling reel for inshore grouper.

Looks like a nice job to me a nice custom touch. If it were me I would have a big washer where handle connects to reel as the head on that machine screw is kinda small. Other than that very nice !   John Taylor

Chris. I really like that simple but very nice, functional handle you've done... Jeff
