We are looking for an angler who can join the jigging trip in Alaska on June 24 - 30, 2018 due to cancellation.
This trip is an ultimate jigging trip for big halibut, ling cod and yelloweye rockfish as well as king salmon in a remote area with stunning view. It is common you catch 1000 lb fish on jigs in a single day.
We jig on sea mount in 100 ft using light 6 - 8 oz jigs.
If you like to jig big halibut or ling cod, this is the trip.

Have you checked out the 2018 regulations? I believe it's one yelloweye per year, one slot limit ling cod per year, one halibut per day and a size limit so you essentially can't keep any big ones. King salmon will be either closed completely or severely limited. I'm not absolutely sure these are the correct, current regulations but they aren't far off.

Yes Alaskan limits are even smaller than here in BC- it's no longer the place for a freezer filler trip.

NON RESIDENT SALT WATER FISHING REGULATIONS FOR SOUTHEAST ALASKA

King (Chinook) Salmon: Usually one or two per day over 28″ with a variable annual limit.  This years limit has not been announced yet.
All Other Salmon: Six per day with no annual limit.

Lingcod:  One per day between 30″-45″ or over 55″ with an annual limit of one per each slot size.  Season open May 16 – Nov. 30.
Yellow Eye Rock Fish:  One per day, two annually (also counts as a non-pelagic rockfish).

---------------

Area 3A (South-central Alaska)  Two fish daily bag limit: Charter vessel anglers may catch and retain two halibut per day.   28-inch maximum size limit on one fish: Charter vessel anglers may keep one fish of any size per day and one fish that is no more than 28 inches in length. The 28-inch maximum size limit allows anglers to keep a second fish that weighs approximately 7 pounds, after the head and guts have been removed.   Trip limit: Charter vessels may only take one trip during which charter vessel anglers retain halibut per day. Charter halibut permits may only be used for one charter halibut fishing trip per day during which charter vessel anglers retain halibut.  4-fish annual limit: Charter anglers may catch and retain no more than 4 halibut in a calendar year on charter vessel fishing trips in Area 3A. This annual limit does not apply to halibut caught while fishing without a guide, charter fishing in Area 2C, or halibut caught as GAF. Anglers are required to record halibut caught on charter vessel fishing trips in Area 3A on the back of the fishing license or harvest record card.  Wednesday closure: Charter vessel anglers may not catch and retain halibut (except GAF) on Wednesdays.  Tuesday closure: Charter vessel anglers may not catch and retain halibut (except GAF) on three Tuesday

I have fished Yak Bay, just a bit south of Icy Bay. Quality fishing for sure.  Icy Bay halibut zone is 3a.

Guided Charter boat fishing: 2 halibut per day, one any size and one 28" max.(7lb H&G). 4 fish Annual limit
I suggest only keeping 1 Hali per day. Toss the chickens back and keep the "any size" fish each of 4 days.

Non-guided boats: non-residents can have 2 fish per day, any size, no annual limit. So, maybe you can rent the boat and leave the guide dockside. ;D

I don't see  any problem to bring 100 lb filleted fish (2  boxes) home. :)
