I,m trying to make a couple of small parts from titanium pc that if found.  I can weld sst fairly well.  I also have some tit weld wire for filler.   Just wondering if you could give me some quick pointers.  Any advice would be great.  Thanks.   Gst.

Build a glove box to weld in and then fill it with shielding gas.  Do not use "tit" wire to weld Ti.... ;D
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

A harbor freight small blasting cabinet might work for big item to weld in.

So if i,m understanding you both the parts need ample / or more shielding gas?  And why no tit wire?   maybe a strip if tit sheet stock for filler?   Maybe this is over my skill level,   butt I may learn something if I try.    Thanks for the tips.    I,ll be back later. :)

From what I understand use nothing but titanium wire. The weld will crack when it starts to cool. As for the box is that titanium needs to be shielded on both sides of the weld.

Ti not tit, you might get it caught in a ringer.

Even a little oxigen will mess up a Ti weld.

You can make filler " rod" from your base metal.
