I'll admit I know very little about fly rods, but I happened across a beauty that I picked up for next to nothing. It's a 7' split bamboo rod (4/5 wt) with a set of three Japanese characters near the handle and the name Gareth T. Evans also. If anyone knows anything more, I'd love to hear it. The best part, I bought this little fly rod AND a Seeker American Series A270-7 in great shape for $21.00! It was lucky start to the day for sure...

Nice find!  That's a very nice size to have in a cane rod.  I have a 7.5', med-fast 5wt cane rod that's a pleasure to cast.

I would try and fish it, have a couple of rods similar. Try the Cortland Sylk line, if you fish a new 4 or 5wt line on it won't cast that well. Nice stick.
