New life for Neptuna

Currently working on a couple of oldies. The first pic is a rebuild of a Neptuna 80lb with an old Montague that was re-wrapped with old stock nylon. There is a glimpse of the cradles they are going on in the background.
The others are the Neptuna in the foreground with the old Neptuna in back that I used for a pattern. Both rods are wound with old stock Gudebrod thread and have a spar varnish finish. I love working on these old timers!

Those are spectacular!!!! Helmsman? Were the lables intact or repro?

Varnish is McCloskey Spar but I'm sworn to secrecy on the label. My camera sucks and they look a lot better in the sunlight.

I used to be happy with my Nep-Tuna now not so much after seeing those.  :-\ Dominick

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
