Son and grandson and I planned to head out of Moss this morning early.  Grandson had a friend spend the night so his parents gave the okay to take him along.  0400 this morning the boys were rousted from their slumber we loaded up and hit the harbor by 0530, prepped the gear and headed out into a steady 5' swell with a stiff breeze.  Reports this week have been stellar with limits of good size kings early.  Well today was a new day, lots of whales, birds, but water had cleared up a bit. We couldn't buy a bite. All we could catch was around forty pounds of sea grass.  And by 0730 my grandsons buddy began to chum.  This was his first time on the sea and conditions weren't the best.  So at 0930 I decided to pull the plug.  Reports for the day were, nothing early, bite turned on at 10:30 and limits for the guys who stuck it out.

Poor kid.  I know how he feels.  :'( Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
