Local salmon trolling

Gobi King

Very similar to the what we use in Lake Michigan for Salmon,
How deep are you trolling?

We are in 120 to 250 FOW and target the thermocline at 65 ft to 85 ft down, sometimes little deeper, then the 400 Copper wire rods come out.

Who makes these? I have never seen anyone in MI use them

Those are made by a company on Vancouver Island the name escapes me now.

Danke, those lures seem to be pretty meaty, I am guessing from their shape they have slow roll?

Op, that is a neat boat, I love your rigging on the boat, how did you mount the downrigger?

I am using standard trolling speed. But i think, that they would prefer a bid faster speed.

Nice video, glad to see you folks can bring them home! I really like your set up of the trolling rig on an inflatable boat. That looks like what a 350 size boat?
