Hi all.
Got this Jig-master 500 in a box of junk the other day and Ive been trying to figure the age of it .
So far this one is eluding me .
I havent been able to find any pics that are the same .
For instance the left side plate has no lettering or markings at all .
The free spool lever has an on and off position not "free Spool" as I've seen on other jm 500 pics .

Wondering if its worth giving a polish up (mechanically its good) or is it just a junker .

Appreciate any input .

Cheers Al

Definitely fishable.
I don't think it is that rare.
I have a few like that.

Thanks guys .

Yeh I didnt think it was a rarey , heaven knows there are plenty of them out there . Just find the marking interesting as I ahvent been able to find pics of similar .
Its actually buffing up quite nice , the pitting in the chrome is not that bad .
Might put some carbontex in it and use it . :)

cheers

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
