Every four years or there abouts we get a good run of sockeye that come through. They are one of my wifes favorite fish as they are maybe the best eating of the salmon and when they are thick the fishing can be fast and furious and you do not have to go early (the most important) and I only have to run a few mins to the spot. Some nice sized ones this year to 9 lbs or so. Not the biggest fight but fun. Nice crome beauties.

If I have to buy salmon I try to get sockeye when it's around. Good stuff. That a nice box of fish there. Delicious

If you drive my place is on the way and you are more than welcome to stay here over night or for a few weeks.
