Newell tightening up

I just put new 5+1 drags in my 332,when I tighten the drag the handle turns slowly, like I tightened it also, any ideas?

Sounds like the drag star is making contact with the side plate. May need a shim between the drag star and bushing.

not spaced properly (the star bottoms out) and/or the keyed and slotted metal drag washers are out of order.  that's my guess.....   :-\
