All,
Up until last week, extra parts for VI's were somewhat scarce, so publishing a "handle interchange list" was not appropriate. The parts are finally in, so Tony Dubeck made a list, thanks Tony!

The 12VI/16VIS knob is interchangeable with the 12VISX/16VISX knob, but the rivets would also have to be changed.
The 12VS handle knob (15E-TS7) could be assembled onto the 12/16 VI handle blanks if the rivet and top screw are also replaced.
The new 12VISX/16VISX knob cannot be assembled onto the 12VS handle blank. The diameters for the rivet are larger on the VI knob.
The new 12VISX/16VISX knob can be assembled onto the 16VS handle blank, if the rivet is also changed and new VI isolating washers are used. The end of the rivet that passes through the handle blank would have to be trimmed down by about .030” as the VS handle blank is thinner than the VI blank.
The new 50VIS knob could be assembled onto the existing 30/50VS handle blanks, if the rivet is also changed and new VI isolating washers are used. The end of the rivet that passes through the handle blank would have to be trimmed down by about .030” as the VS handle blank is thinner than the VI blank.
The 30/50VS knob (25S-50M) could be assembled onto the new 30/50VI handle blank if the rivet and top screw are also replaced.
The new 50VIS knob cannot be assembled onto the 70VS/80VS/130VS handle blank as the rivet diameters are different.
The 70VS/80VS/130VS knob cannot be assembled onto the 70/80/130VI handle blanks as the rivet diameters are different.
