Hi All,
Slept in today and missed out on "mikes" book on Ebay   GRRR.
Any how, Just wanted to know where this Sea Hawk fits into the equation.
IT's a maroon 4 poster, waffle clicker, with pat. pend.
It's my first one with of pull out handle version.
I guess till I actually get the book, just want to identify which model.
Thanks in advance

Wow, Col, when you finally get a copy of the blue book you're going to disappear for about a week, I just know it.

The Sea Hawk was the continuation of the prototype Model F.  The 1933 version had 3 posts. The Sea Hawk design changed back and forth over the years. Yours is a '34-'36 model, I believe. The design changed in '37 to a bridge with a shift lever and they added the handle nut locking screw/scalloped nut.

Thanks Sid, Appreciate the info.
For now, just identifying and tagging them and as you say, when I finally latch on to a blue book !!!!
I was really annoyed with myself I didn't get up in time for the end of the Ebay auction,
But I'm sure I'll source one soon,  hopefully.
I'm looking forward to identifying those fringe reels, which came in in the late 30's early 40's,
being able to identify first generation models in the pre war era.

thanks again Sid

All of Mike's books are again available at the Whitefish Press website.  Took them almost a month to deliver one to me here in the USA, Your Milage May Vary.
