Another Rod Question

I've been looking at some custom rods for sale on Ebay that have the former owner's name written on it.  Just wondering If I can cover up and hide the name by putting a fish decal or some other laminated sticker tape with my own name over it and then adding a layer of flex coat rod finish?  Any suggestions are welcome.

Sure you can put a sticker and coat it with flex coat.  Make sure that it is completely clean by using rubbing alcohol.  I try to use the 90% or greater alcohol than the lesser.  Cleans better.  Then go to it.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
