avet jx 4:1 older reel drag problem

i have a avet jx older that seem to have very little drag adjustment and not much drag at strike and a hole bunch at full any help or idears

the drag progression from free to strike to full is simply a function of the shape of the cam. if the drag washer is really stick, it might seem like it's jumpy. do a full service on it first (if you haven't already) and then let's see where you are.

i played with the bellevilles after a full service seems to have been the fix it has 5 bellevilles is the right i put them back to stock configuration. the drag now has a nice progression from just above bait all the way up to full
