Lol, a backpack or bowling ball bag to carry it sounds about right.

Too bad about the cancelled charter, but where's the pics of those tacos ??

It takes quite a bit to render Me speechless , however ....
I just kept thinking of Papa Hemingway and the Pilar out in the Gulf Stream , waiting and watching ...
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

Looks like a great time was had by all there....

I hope Randy had a security guard with him, while lugging that monster reel around......

If the little guy is a squidder, the big dude is a whale, make that a black whale!

Thank you Mark!

Randy, that reel is GORGEOUS!!!!  Even if I had the need, I would hesitate to send that into battle.  That is a beautiful piece of work. - john

Thank you John!  I think this one is never going to get wet.

How much line did you get on that reel Randy? Enough to hit bottom at Woods Hole?

I didn't measure it Sheridan, but it holds lots of line.  I think that you could fish the 4-mile bank standing on the Santa Barbara pier if you could get a boat to run your bait out there.

Thank you for the wonderful lunch Wayne.  I had a great time with you and Jonathan.  I hope that we can get together again soon when the wind isn't blowing!

That's a great crew, with a serious piece of equipment.
