Very nice, even as one of a kind as that is someone will try to walk off a boat with it and tell her they thought it was theirs. The bar is set pretty high for Birthdays from now on at your house. Again nice job, Brendan.

That's one sweet looking rod. Nguyen. I'm sure that your daughter will cherish it for the rest of her life.

Very nice K. How did you choose A size thread for an overwrap? I'm sure it's plenty strong, but normally I've chosen C size thread when fishing above 15# line. Just wondering.

Thank you for the kind words. It was pleasure building this rod for my daughter.
Bryan, my rod building mentors have confirmed to me in the past that size A thread is as strong as C or D. The theory is that you get more wraps per area to compensate for the weaker strength in the single strand. And the finished wrap looks nicer with the smaller thread... you can't see the individual strand as easily.
However, I would love to have some size C. C is so hard to find these days. D is too big in my opinion.

How did you do the lettering? I've been out for so long, there's special things like that I have missed learning. I learned to weave names and fish, but not the new styles of lettering. If you don't mind sharing, of course.
Thank you.
