penn 555gs carbontex drag washers

A question. I have a Penn 555 gs and need to replace drag washers. I wish to put the carbontex washers on, but the chart shows the number 49 set which is a four set kit. The picture does not show the washers having ears (tabs) on them that fit inside the main gear. My reel needs washers that have these ears. Any help on which drag set will fit my Penn 555gs thx in advance.

The early 555 reels took the same drag washers as the Penn 49. Soon they changed the main gear and began to use eared drag washers. I think you'll need to get those from Penn.
