Corrosion X Heavy Duty (green can)

Has anyone ever tried this in lieu of grease? It seems like this would be an appropriate application.

you know, jim, i haven't. no particular reason. the main reason for using the blue yamaha grease is that it stays blue forever. i know immediately if i've serviced a reel before. alan
