I bought a Newell G447-F from eBay and it arrived with a broken reel base.  The top part that goes into the reel seat is cracked and aside from using the clamp, it can't be used.  Does anyone have an old one sitting around?  I've read the older posts about Newell's take over company not selling products anymore, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice aside from filing a claim with the seller

Would you mind converting it to a 454 with tiburon frame  and tib spool but if u can get a base it would save u some money but dont know if tiburon makes frames for the 447 series

I would consider it if there are no other options, but would be curious to know if the 447 reel base can be swapped out for the Tiburon 454 without issue.

Hoooray! Seller will do a refund.  Too bad though, really wanted to utilize the reel.  Thanks Grin

I would convert that 447 to a 454 tib frame and spool.
