Just got these brand new in the mail last week. Great pliers and craftsmanship, but just doesnt suite my needs when it comes to the bigger reels.  Paid $40.00 willing to sell for $30.00 shipped to the USA, pliers are less than 5 days old.

Awe dude, I would have bought them off you if I didn't receive my pair.  they don't work on those trinis and toriums?  See if Lance wants to by them at 5O7S.  He fishes with bass tackle.

Thanks Bryan,

The smallest conventional reel I work on is a trinidad/torium 30.  Actually, the only conventional reels I do work on are trinidads and toriums, I have no clue on the other reels  Cheesy   I cracked open a 30A this weekend and the pin spool was also 2.5mm just like on the Trinidad 50 so the pliers are still too small.  I love the pliers, but just arent practical for the small window of reels I work on.

I dont know lance, but I can drop them off to him if he wants them.

You may want to talk to Lois.  She is the one on the floor and the reel tech as well.

So, the pliers are too small for a Torium 20 or 30?  Also, can please describe why they are too small?

I was just about to buy a pair of these pliers when I read this post.  I am new to reel repair/maintenance and am in the process of acquiring the tools of the trade.   I am planning to do some work / upgrades on my Torium 20 and Tyrnos 20 this weekend and figured I should invest in a pair. However,  I am now having second thoughts.

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Also, what state would the pliers ship from?

Thank you.

I tested them on the spool of a Trinidad 50 and a Trinidad 30A.  I cant speak for the torium 20 or 30. Pliers would ship USPS priority mail from honolulu, so 3-5 days to the mainland US.
