Alan, what is the difference between Penn blue,Cal's and
the Yamaha grease that you use ?

the penn blue grease and the yamaha blue grease are both hydrocarbon-based.  i do not know what the differences between them are.  both the cal's and shimano drag greases are teflon-based, not hydrocarbon.  that's why you can use them on drag washers.
