I got a note from Gregg Chow last night and he recommended that all members that want one to send an email to Tiburon with a quantity and color to spark their interest. info@tiburonengineering.com

Gregg will also make a request from Tiburon but he said they like to here from the masses more than just him. I will loan them a reel if they need one for dimensions. Fire up the keyboards and get something started with these guys so we can build the best Newell Tank out there.

I got a reply back from Tiburon and they need one of my reels for dimensions so they are willing to make the 631 frames. Start placing your orders guys. I am going to mention making aluminum spools in my next correspondence with them and see how that goes. That would be a real Newell Tank.

I emailed Rich about one week ago and he replied also...sounds hopeful. He just wanted the width between plates...which I gave him. I also requested aluminum spools.

I also made a similar request of Mark @Charkbait awhile back since he sells a lot of Tib kits. Mark was also going to speak with Rich. If enough of us make similar requests, he could make a small run just like he did for the 646's. Grin

Thanks for contacting Rich. Gregg Chow sent me a note and Rich told him that only one person other than me has contacted him so that must be you. We need more people to get on board and send him an email. I also mentioned the metal spools to him and if he did that then the 631 kiit could be sold as a NK for the 646 and 541.
Talk it up.

Excellent...

I also asked him to consider a narrow 631 frame/spool...an NK 631.

Come on guys...what say YOU? Shocked Grin   Contact Rich (rich@tiburonengineering.com) at Tiburon and request a Tib frame/spool for a Newell 631.

Mark from Charkbait is going to contact Rich with an order but we still need more guys on board to max out these 631s.

Alright...now we're going. Wink I'm not sure about the minimum run numbers...I'm guessing 50-100. Undecided

This is the latest update from Rich at Tiburon today. Let all of your buddies know.

Hi Dwight,

I have the dimensions. If you don't need the reel back right away I would like to put a first article frame on it to make sure everything looks good. I will be making a few 631 frames starting the end of this month. Probably will be available in January. Do you still want 4 in silver? I have not had too many requests for this frame yet but I will make a few when I make more 646 frames.

Got another update guys. Basically if you want a 631 aluminum frame and or spool you need to place an order or get left out. This is going to be a one time production run. Rich is making this run in combination with a 646 run and this is your chance now for some nice upgraded.

Dwight,

Did you or anyone you know want aluminum spools for these reels?
I could configure them like the 646 spools which hold more line than the stock Newell spools.

Also I think there were a few inquiry's about narrow 631 frames and spools. I could also make them at this time if I had some orders.
It would be very important to know some quantities and what people want before I start making them in a few weeks. Otherwise I won't make very many and some people may be left out of this production run.

FYI: The frames are going to sell for about $110.00. Spools if required would be about $100.00
