Yes I agre with you
that's why I took the reel to Kenny
I prefer that reel over my 2 speed jigging reels
it fits my locomotion better and it cast a mile (50# Sufix832 braid)
hooked a fish on a super long cast and a Ironman 5 in green/yellow.

Have a great day

I think what happened to you is typical on some of the 500s. The little dog spring just got between the bridge and the side plate post which cants the bridge slightly and the screws do not get snugged properly. It is just the rear dog spring that does this. If you work on it yourself in the future just be aware of it and just push the spring over about a 1/16 and the bridge will fit snug. The other fix is to take a dremel and trim about .010 off the edge of the graphite post where the spring gets trapped.

Also notice that when the bridge snaps in place properly that there are two post on the side plate that snap into a hole on each side of the bridge plate. When those two post pop into place the bridge is square and flush. Now tighten the 4 bridge screw and all is well for a very long time. One day I will think about it and do a tutorial pic or two.

Thanks for all the info.
I cant wait to fish that reel again
It felt very smooth with the short, fast jigging motion
and on the long stroke jiggin' move
the fish came up effortlessly I should be getting the reel back this week
ill ask about the bridge and the dog the guy working on it should know
thanks man,

eddie
