Custom Paint Sideplates DIY?

I want to give an ABU 5500c3 to a female friend. She loves hot pink and blue so I was wondering if anyone has gone through a custom paint job for the side plates? I can finally disassemble the whole reel so Im not worried about that. Please let me know if there is a way. Thanks

how about anodizing? if interested PM BROSCHRO maybe he can do the side plates...

There is a posting here somewhere that they painted the sideplates...sorry I just cannot find it.  But it can be done.  I think powder coating would be better though.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Thanks guys! I will also pm the guy who works on it. It doesn't seem easy and appears to require some tools I don't have.
