Kilsong's Cow Tuna fighting technique

I wouldn't call this technique "fighting the fish". Crank the drag down and use the reel as a straight line winch, he should mount the reel to a yard piece of broom-handle. Each to there own but cranking up fish is not why I enjoy fishing.

Kilsong came up with this method to handle large fish (in excess of 100 lbs mostly).  When fighting these bigger fish you have a several ways to do it.  Put the rod in the rod holder and crank.  Use a fighting chair and crank.  Use a stand up bucket and harness.  Use the rail of the boat.  Until you fish in excess of 25 - 30 lbs of drag and having to only use the rod, you have no idea how hard it is to do so unless you are very physically strong.  For me anything in excess of 15 lbs of drag will tired me in about 20-25 minutes of fight.
