HI, EVERYONE. I AM WORKING ON OKUMA SOLTERRA 30 THE SAME THING AS SOME OF YOU GUYS IT HAS GOT HARD TO TURN. I LOSING THE LEVER DRAG.IT TURNS FINE. I REPLACE THE LEFT SIDE AND THE RIGHT SIDE BEARING. IT IS BETTER BUT NOT RIGHT. SPOOL IS FREE BUT NO PLAY. BUT ONE THING I DON'T SEE IS A SPRING UNDER THE LEVER DRAG AJUSTING TITE OR LOSING IS THERE A SPRING THERE THIS ONE DOES NOT HAVE ONE. I CAN'T FIND THE RIGHT PHOTO FOR THIS REEL. THANKS FOR ANY HELP. THE REEL DOCTOR.

To address the play issue you mentioned at the end, make sure the drag cam is seated fully on the spool shaft.

What is your drag set at for strike and full?

These reels had some handle binding at the higher end drag settings, could be the culprit.

The new model, silver and black, has a thrust bearing to handle the pressure and create a smoother crank at the upper drag levels.
