we were about 18 miles out and stopped
for some bait at a previous fishing spot.
plenty of fish
3m seas,5knot wind,wishy washy.
plenty fuel,batteries fine.
had sea anchor out,drifted off the spot.
right lets go fishin,wont start.
tried everything,no good.
radio sea rescue,they will be at least an hour or more.
so I put a couple of live baits out,no good,we are nowhere
near any marks.
1st sea rescue boat arrives from fremantle,tows us
1/2 way home,switch to 2nd rescue boat,rockingham,
tows us home at 10knots. put a couple of skirts out,no good
no fish,wet ####, sea sick,still don't know at this stage what failed
I suspect the kill switch
rescue boys were great,all volunteers, they will send us the cost of the
rescue and it is up to us how much we want to donate
we are both safe after a few other dramas,
2 waves over the top etc;
cheers ::)

Thanks.  I like Blue Seas Systems shutoff switches, I've never seen one fail.

I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Safe and sound...that's the most important thing.
